Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Renee’s Ropes

These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of Renee’s Ropes. By accessing this website you accept these terms and conditions in full. Do not continue to use Renee’s Ropes’ products if you do not accept all of the terms and conditions stated on this page. Unless otherwise stated, Renee’s Ropes own the intellectual property rights for all material on Renee’s Ropes. All intellectual property rights are reserved.

Reservation of Rights: We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions and its linking policy at any time. By continuing to link to our Web site, you agree to be bound to and abide by these linking terms and conditions.

POSTAGE: It is your responsibility to request signature on delivery, should you so wish, for postage of your order and to pay the corresponding fee. All products are posted with tracking provided to the customer. After providing tracking to the customer, Renee’s Ropes holds no responsibility for loss or theft of items through the postal system or upon delivery.

Change of Mind: Payment of an order secures the materials required to make the product(s) and an order will not be made until payment has been received in full. Once payment has been made you cannot change your mind on colours, sizes etc as rope has been cut and put aside for the order. Refunds and exchanges are not provided if you are not happy with the colour you chose or the product does not fit. There is a sizing page available from the home page detailing halter sizes and measurements; please see more below regarding custom sizing.

Refunds and exchanges: Due to the custom/made to order nature of Renee’s Ropes products, unfortunately refunds/exchanges are not accepted if:

  • You have not proof read your invoice and have received a colour or size you did not have in mind.
  • Halters etc do not fit your horse or pony. Please see the Sizing page for measurements and more information below regarding custom sizing.
  • A halter has become stretched out of shape due to misuse, e.g. through riding by clipping leads onto one loop under the chin and not both; washing in the washing machine without putting in a bra bag and without securing the fiador knot (under the chin) with an elastic band etc.
  • The rope has developed any pulls. Due to the braided nature of rope this can happen and singeing the affected area and pressing the rope back in place can prevent the pull from spreading.
  • The knots on halters have become unraveled or been undone since being in the customer’s possession. It is recommended to wrap an elastic band around the fiador knot (knot under the chin) when washing the halter to keep it in place. All my knots are tied and tightened by hand and will settle with use. It is unlikely a fiador knot which has been undone on a halter can be re-tied. This is an intricate knot which cannot unravel on its own when tied correctly.
  • Refunds or exchanges are not accepted for custom made/ made to order products. All products marked “Backorder” are made to order. Occasionally the web store may show custom options in stock that have already been used in another order and may need to be restocked for you, or may be permanently out of stock. In this case you will be contacted by email and be offered a refund or be able to choose a different colour from the same price range.

Sizing: I make rope halters in sizes ranging from Miniature to Draft Horse. Refunds and returns are not accepted if you have ordered a halter and it does not fit your horse or pony. I have a Sizing page detailing my halter measurements. If your horse is between sizes; I recommend you send through measurements of the noseband, cheek straps and throat/poll in the Order Notes of your invoice so I can make a halter that you know will fit. If you need help determining the correct measurements for your horse, please contact me via email or the contact page and I am more than happy to help.

Risk of Use: Horse Riding is a dangerous sport and Renee’s Ropes holds no responsibility for accidents that may occur during use of their products. Refunds and/or replacements will not be provided for misuse of products. It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that the halters, riding halters and other products that they are using are correctly fitted and functional. For your horse’s safety, never leave a rope halter on them in the paddock. If it gets caught in a fence it will not break and your horse could be injured.
